textcap metadata

The Aneamal Translator limits content from linked text files to 262144 bytes by default. You can increase or decrease that limit by assigning an integer for the number of bytes in a textcap metadata declaration.

The main purpose of having a limit is to prevent accidentally loading exorbitantly large files and thereby stressing the server or crashing readers’ browsers. This could otherwise happen, if you linked to a video file with a plain-text file token [t] instead of a video token [v] for example.

The textcap limit applies to plain-text files, but also to other kinds of text files such as Aneamal files, HTML files and TSV files. It does not apply to files like stylesheets which are linked in metadata declarations.
