charset metadata

The value UTF-8 can be assgined to the charset name in a metadata declaration for historical reasons. It does not influence the behavior of the Aneamal Translator though. UTF-8 is the only supported character encoding of Aneamal files and does not need to be declared. It encodes the full Unicode range.

Note that files which save characters as US-ASCII octets are also valid in Aneamal, because UTF-8 is backwards compatible with US-ASCII.

Example

@ charset: UTF-8
